oh my gf is cute as hell...
Look we are in America, english is what we speak, I absolutely hate when you walk up to someone and they start speaking another language in front of you. You have no idea what they are saying about you or anything else. I know some spanish and enough Korean to get me pissed of or in trouble. But we should not force American's to learn any other language besides english.

both of you relax...
have some compassion for others, and apply yourself... and if u think they're always talking about you, u have security issues that are more important then wanting to know what the word puto means....
excuse my preaching, i forget how ignorant people are...

doesnt justify ignorance... and germany has an official language and a different gov't.. its a different country all together...
and in no way am i saying immigrants to this country shouldnt try to learn english, they should apply themselves, but that's personal priority

I don't think its ignorance...and just because germany has an official language, it makes no difference. When you're a member in a society, whether they have an "official" language or not, that is primarily english, you should know how to speak it, and if you don't, you should be making an honest attempt to learn it and speak it.
having a different gov't and being a different country is a completely different issue. You're being too specific. I'm talking in general terms...if you're in a society that is 95% english (I know thats not the exact number, I'm just throwing out a number for the sake of arguement), not knowing how to speak english is not only burdening yourself, but services that you require are that much harder to get, blah blah. It's just easier if you speak the "majority" language (not necessarily the official, but most likey).
