Why are "Imports" called "Tuners"???
Anyone ever wonder why imports are called tuners? Is it less offensive then ricer? If you think about it, wouldn't modding a car to get more power out of it be considered "tuning"??? So why did imports get the name and not the whole car scene itself?
On another note, when I goto my local track, only the fast imports and domestics are fidgiting around with their laptops and engines after each run, not the ricer behind me with the huge wing.

I call someone that works at a dyno shop and tunes peoples' cars a tuner. All this "import" and "tuner" crap is a bunch of marketing jibberish.
Yet another piece of supporting evidence for my theory that all things automotive amplify the inherent stupidity of human beings.

P.S. Any motor can be tuned, carb or fuel injected, it's what I'm refering ot.
