oh mama. okay in that case, i rest my arguement.

but didnt the original Altezza come with a 4-cylinder? it's kinda like toyotas version of the datsun 510.

The Altezza is sold with two engine options in Japan. The AS200 has a 1G-FE 2.0 liter inline six that makes 160 hp. The RS200 has a version of the 3S-GE 2.0 liter inline four with VVTL-i that makes 210 hp. The old Celica alltrac/GT4 and the MR2 turbo used a turbo version of this motor that did not have VVTL-i, called the 3S-GTE.

In parts of the world where the Lexus IS200 is available, it is basically the same thing as the Altezza AS200, which means it has the inline six.
