hasnt toyota made a turbo 4-cylinder engine for one of their other markets that makes in excess of 240hp?

why not stick something like that in there? as much as i'll like a V8 with all its torque and power, i'm not going to like all the extra mass it brings along.

IS200 yes.

if you actually read the article you'll see that the V8 is a few pounds lighter than the I6. aluminum vs iron

The IS200 has a 2-liter inline six. Maybe the Altezza comes with some kind of four cylinder. I think in the 3S-GE family?

The first two years IS's were released they didn't offer a stick. I believe a 5 speed is new to 2003.

Giorgetto Guigiaro is the name of the designer who was one of the founders of Italdesign, the company that came up with the shape of the original GS.

I'm liking it. The IS does need some more power though as the other cars in it's class have received more.
They also have to ditch they altezza tail lights, I know their stock and all but I just find them done right ugly. If I owned an IS I'd have to do something about them for sure.
