i got a samsung digital camcorder for christmas, but ran into a couple of problems.
1 no memory, should i get miniDV tapes or memory stick?
2 usb drive will not install on the disk that came with it, what shall i do?!

Mini DV tapes....memory sticks suck ass and don't store very much for the price you pay...get memory sticks for stills and for a last ditch item but not as primary.

Don't use the USB link but instead get the firewire and use it...the transfer is cleaner than USB is since there is no line degradation with firewire like there is with USB.

I think you can pick up a pack of 3 for like $20 but I am not exactly sure on that.

Firewire can be had for about $11 at Frys Electronics just look for the zip line ones that retract....they were on sale the other day and I picked up 2 of em.
