Gay people do not bother me anymore than blond people, skinny people, short people, people with freckles, people whose second toe is longer than their big toe, or people with bald spots. The only people I truly have a problem with are people with nasal-y voices. If you are one of them: please dont talk to me. EVER.

I'm cool with gay people. they can get annoying sometimes, but as long as they know the line...everything is fine.

The counter-argument was made that non-human mammals engage in cannibalism, and therefore, those behaviors which are natural (like homosexuality) are not necessarily good.

My "dogs breathe" example was an oblique way (sorry) of asking people to examine why they accept homosexual behavior in animals as natural but reject it as "unnatural" when it occurs humans. That is, if breathing is considered natural because "dogs do it, all animals do it, and so it's natural," then if you can demonstrate that animals also engage in homosexual behavior, then you can't say it's unnatural to humans, anymore than you can say breathing is unnatural. As a matter of fact, gay and lesbian sexuality has been observed in apes, birds, fish, dolphins, porpoises, giraffes, and many other animals.

I mean, do you want a bunch of sexually frustrated gays and lesbians running around? Believe me, you do NOT want that to happen.

If you have a problem with homosexuality based on religious or moral views, then don't be gay. Don't judge someone else.

All people have the basic human right to not be discriminated against based on their race, religion, political views, economic status, sexual orientation, favorite football team, soda preference, whatever.

Gay people are still people, and to treat them as anything less than that is contrary to everything that this little place we call America is supposed to be about.

I actually managed to stay out of this thread for almost two years. :chuckles:

I guess now that it popped up again I felt slightly moved after reading through so much intolerance.
