Well the guy just called me again, and thank me quite a few times. His manager had a talk with him, and he isnt gonna get fired, but they are going to watch him, see how he's acting toward customers...

I'm rather glad, I'd hate to see someone fired 3 days before Christmas....

As a Supervisor of a resturant (customer service-related) I would most definately send home any employee who is rude to any customer of the phone or in person.

If it is a repeat event, who cares how many days before xmas it is, you have to do what it takes to run the business smoothly. If you have one person who is "chasing-off" customers, then fix the problem. Fire them.

and then other people here are telling me try not to spend too much time with them

and sometimes they thank me and tell me how helpful i am and the other person they talked to was a jerk
