Back from my trip....alive....MOSTLY
Hi all,
Just wanted to say Hello. I came back from my trip to Lake Tahoe tonight.
I had tons of fun.....and all I have to say is please please please wear a helmet when you go snowboarding. I took a turn too fast and ended up in the ER on Saturday. My helmet saved my life. I have a bruised up left eye, a concussion, and a strained neck. This is excluding the 2 bruised veins on my arm since the paramedic had a hard time finding my vein for the IV....so they tried 3 times before they could tap my vein. The doctor prescribed Motril 600mg for my headaches and Vicodin for my pain. I don't want to take the Vicodin since it can be...well....you know what. Anyhow, the Ski Patrol AND the doctor said I made a great move by wearing a helmet. Otherwise I might still be in the hospital right now or you would be reading about my demise right about now or tomorrow.
Now I am sitting here checking my messages....my entire body is in pain. My head hurts like a motherfawker.....To give you a better perspective....I couldn't even open a water bottle without help. My arms have no strength in them whatsoever.
I'll post pictures of my eye and the helmet that saved my life tomorrow.

:eek3: wow...ya it gets scary sometimes on the slopes and i dont even have a helmet either. ive come close to going off a cliff a few times too when i had to dodge some people blocking up the lanes. good to hear you wore one :bigok: and i hope you get better.
