Xbox 360 help?
Looking at possibly buying a used 360 for $150 with 1 controller and 5 games (including GTA 5). The seller states that it is 6 months old, but unable to tell me what size hard drive it is, or any other identifying variables as to which model it may be. He says it's "the regular xbox not lite and comes with 2 hard drives". It is white.. here is a pic:

Better hook it up to the network and double check it hasn't been console banned.
If they remove the drive from the side it should be stamped on the tag what size the HDD is, my guess is that is a 60gb drive.

Are you close to it or is this an online purchase?
I wouldn't do an online purchase except through the usual retailers of a used XBX because if they got it console banned for hacking it you are boned.
That model console, I have one that model as well, was prone to the overheating issue (RROD) so I would ask if it had been refurbished at any point.
Take a game that works the machine a bit such as Forza, Skyrim, Fallout3 etc. and ask to be allowed to play it for a bit until you are ok with it (30-45 minutes should be good).
Sounds like a lot of bullshit but used Xboxen run you a wide range of risks that you may have not seen before purchase.
Oh yeah, inspect the plastic work on it for any evidence of tampering or removal, usually an overlooked item that could mean it had been modified at some point, face plate is no worry you want to look at the sides and the clamshell for signs of prying.

It's close by. Thanks for the tips.
I also found a PS3 (fat) with CoD: Ghosts and 1 controller for $100. 40 gb, supposedly 6 months old.
Decisions, decisions..

White 360's and fat PS3's. Both must have been locked away in a warehouse for a few years.
The manufacturing date is located on the sticker with the serial number. Wouldn't be surprised if this unit is 2+ years old.

- Chrome button from a "premium" console
- White tray from a "core" console
You can lift the tray cover without removing the case. You have to open the case to get to the button.
Random shit ...
- That console is NOT 6 months old. It's more like 3.5 years. That's the first version of the shell, which was phased out in starting July of 2010.
- HDMI was introduced in August of 2008
- The final hardware revision for that case ("Jasper", 65nm CPU & GPU) is a monster. I've gamed on mine for hundreds of hours, no problems at all. Anything before the "Jasper" will RROD, no questions about it.
