Late to the party, but that console might have had its case removed. You can tell by the DVD Rom bezel.
- Chrome button from a "premium" console
- White tray from a "core" console
You can lift the tray cover without removing the case. You have to open the case to get to the button.

- That console is NOT 6 months old. It's more like 3.5 years. That's the first version of the shell, which was phased out in starting July of 2010.
- HDMI was introduced in August of 2008
- The final hardware revision for that case ("Jasper", 65nm CPU & GPU) is a monster. I've gamed on mine for hundreds of hours, no problems at all. Anything before the "Jasper" will RROD, no questions about it.
