but you know what IS frustrating about this game?

People who can't play this game right. I am in a party of 6 people....I play as a Hume Warrior. Anyhow, since I can take damage, I stand in the front and absorb all the punishment while I hack away. The blms are supposed to deal out offensive spells...ok....they did that, but the damn white mages are supposed to heal. Instead they stand there trying to cast offensive white magic....so by the time I need healing or other party member needs healing...the bastard whm ran out of MP or low on MP...so a lot of us die. WTF??? I died 3 times today and leveled down to 16...fawk.

Noone owned me but Square and the dude at the game store. My PC is MORE than capable of running any game out right now but I don't have the correct BRAND video card. The dude at the game store told me it's okay as long as the video card has the minumum amout of RAM required (Mine has more than enough). I would NEVER buy any software without being sure my machine could handle it. I have a P4 2.4Ghz, 512mb ddr, 80 gig HD, 64mb Voodoo5 AGP (<-- that's the problem right there), so if specific brands aren't required to play a game, more than likely my machine can handle it. Square is out to get as much money as possible without looking out for their customers, and that sucks. Here's the ranting guy you wanted...

Dude, I remember playing FFI on NES, I played FFII, FFIII on SNES. I played FFVII, VIII, IX on PS1 and loved both versions of Tactics (in fact, tactics advance is in my GBA SP right now), but it really seems as if they only care about the money this time.

 

I don't see how they have anything to gain by requiring that you use either an ATI or NVidia card...unless those companies are giving them money.

 

That wasn't my only issue with them (I'm sure they are getting something out of the deal, even if it's not money direct deposited into their account). My other issue's were that you are stuck with the game once you register since it is impossible to transfer the game to someone else (and it is also illegal from what the tech support guy told me). So, if you buy the game for $50, find out that it isn't your syle, then you can't even sell it on Ebay or give it to a friend. This is forcing everyone to buy a new copy instead of recycling unwanted copies. Also, they don't bother telling you that you can't play the game until after you pay the monthly fee! That suggests to me that they are money hungry and know that they are so loved as a video game developer that they can get away with anything they want.
