I had my 2000 Passat for two years. In that time the coolant temperature sensor and mass airflow sensor went out. The turbo bypass valve went bad (but that's probably because my APR chip was pushing out a peak boost of about 22 psi). It was hella fast when everything was working (handled great too). I still kinda miss it, but it was hard to fantasize about mowing down SUVs while driving it...which is why I now have the Ram.
