Work Out Crew Question
I was wondering something. I'm 6'2", 196lbs. I've been working out for a while. Whats a respectable Max bench for someone of my size? I"m not talking about something you'd say "holy sh!t" about, but something you would consider decent or respectable. I'm just curious. Thanks.

the standard is to bench your own weight....which is respectable. benching twice your weight is  but to answer your question, i think 275lbs or so is good for your size :dunno:

I never was good at benching. I repped 185 last time I was out, and that was a while ago. Prolly weighing about 200 then. I could max about 210 i think.
But my workout partner used to rep like 215 and max 245... and he only weighed like 175lbs at the time. Still though, I was able to do more weight on triceps and curling excersises then he could.
So it all depends.

snitches get stitches
they say that benching your weight is what you should be able to do, but most men can't do that. I weight ~240 and my max bench is probably ~180.
