all my windows were frozen when i tried to open them so it made a ice cracking sound, scared me when I opened my moonroof...thought something was broken....and i park indoors too. i guess i need a heated garage.

You only do the driver side door, who cares if anyone else gets in....leave em for not scraping your car for you.

ill bet if you greased the rubber a bit with a bit of vaseline it wouldnt do that at all.

never HOT water...just warm. warmer than the ice down the door sill & in the lock if it's frozen. my friend poured HOT water on her windshield & it craked all the way across :doh:

i also keep a can of the "windshield deicer" spray in the back floorboard. start the car (remotely ) before i shower & then when i leave it is usually 80% defrosted. just a lil squirt of deicer on the mirrors & i'm ready to go:thumbup:
