time travel

One thing that always keeps me doubting about time travel. If it was possible, wouldn't there have already been someone from the future come to our time and have some sort of proof of future events, etc., to prove when he was from?

but would you believe him? No, exactly
ya it seems to me that if you could travel in time, then that would make it possible to travel in time before or after someone else, which means there is time within time and so on. so there are infiniti dimensions then. cmon thats just silly.
and what someone said earlier about displacing the matter when you timeshift - thats a really good point. timetravel is nonsense. makes good sci-fi but thats about it.

I believe the answer is in quantum physics. Which we are just now just looking at the surface, we haven't even scratched it yet.
Quantum physics change a lot of things. One of the things is that quantum particles CAN move through time.
We aren't quantum particles... so we are kinda right back where we started... no.

. either way you can't say for sure that someone hasn't traveled to the past and already changed history becuase you only experience one sequence of events. you have no point of reference to say that something was changed. besides if poeple do correctly predict the future and say that's were they are from they get thrown into mental hospitals gothica style :chuckles:
How could you travel to the future though? If you said you could travel to the future, then I suppose you're one to believe that our future is already planned and we have no choice in the world???
I don't know about time travel, sure it would be cool as hell to see what life would be like in 10000000 years, but would you really want to? What if there was nothing left of the earth? PLUS, wouldn't there have to be people in the future to "catch" you per say, when you "ported" to that time? We all know the past doesn't have that capability!

you don't have too assume that we have no choice in the future. you are going there to see what happened, what choices were made and why they were made (enter matrix music). i think that if they were gonna attempt time travel they wouldn't try to do it without making sure that the method of time travel was self contained. you wouldn't want to try to go to another time and hope that bill isn't on his lunch break when you are set to arrive.
on another note you could still travel to the future even if it was set in stone, and we had no choices. you would simply need to understand that you were supposed to travel to the future and that by doing so you are following the "plan" so to speak.
