sooooo pathetic
Surprise surprise, this ain't a democracy. The board is run by the admins and mods as we see fit. I don't even know which post of yours was locked originally nor do I care. The point is that this kind of crap is not tolerated because we as the admins and mods don't want to deal with whiney members that think they have some kind of say in the way that this site is run. If you feel that you have been treated unfairly then you are fully able to contact a mod or admin IN PRIVATE and air your grievance. They can either decide to reduce/revoke whatever penalty was imposed on you, or they can explain why it was imposed so that you don't do it again. That's the way the system has always worked, and that's how it will continue to work.
And you know what? This is not the first time that you've confronted moderators on this site and made a stink because someone said something you didn't like. In fact I remember exactly how that confrontation ended.
Maybe you should put yourself back in the frame of mind you were in when you posted that.

No need to air dirty laundry in public, I'm just pointing out to PHiZ that on several occassions he has been warned by various mods (including myself for his raising hell in the Engine Tech forum) and he has always acted like this.

Also mentioned in the Terms of Service is this line: Whatever a moderator or administrator says in regards to the running of Honda-Acura.net, goes. Once again, if you have an issue with a decision do not air it in public. If you are having a conflict with one particular moderator or administrator, it is perfectly fine to contact a different moderator or administrator.
Mentioned under the Appeals heading: If a member feels that a reprimand/consequence was unjust or excessive he/she is encouraged to first talk with the moderator or administrator who initiated the action. This does not mean post your concern in public.
Might I remind you that we utilize the Terms of Service as a tool to fairly govern this website.
The only fair options I can extend to you at this time are to:

Contact me via PM or email to discuss the issue and come to some type of terms, or
I will take further disciplinary actions as a result of your TOS violations.
Again, we use the TOS as a tool to allow us to moderate equally. This means you are not above the TOS. If you feel that you were unjustly punished, follow the procedure I laid out and all will end peacefully.

I personally don't see the big deal in having to take personal shit to PM. Most of the time it's funny and I, like most other people, like to see a train wreck in the making. But it's your rules, your board, and I can respect that. :a:
You know it's sad I avoided the board for a couple of days, because I didn't want to confront this drama. I came back and had a full inbox of people that needed my technical help.
CiviChik97, Derek. I searhced both your past-aprticipated threads. 10 pages is as far as I went back. 10 pages for the both of you, of nothing but "The Basement" posts.
I don't give a **** about either of your opinions.
Jlammy:
Why didn't the original moderator say something to my in PM. He warned me for a PERSONAL COMMENT, in a forum that he doesn't even moderate. It had NOTHING to do with HAN, until he leveraged his status in a personal matter.
Locking the thread, that strategy backfired. the thread would have simply died out. Now there are 3 threads, and the public perception is going to be that criticism isn't tolerated.
If I see fascists tactics, I will address them as such. I have no such interest in "overthrowing" the board, but I feel free to post my opinions on how things could be done better. I specifically left the names of the moderators out of this post, as the issue has progressed beyond that.
It is absolutely a public matter, if 50 people stepped forward and and said whomever mod was being a tyrant, that is the ONLY way the "super-moderators/ admins/ whomever" can judge the effictiveness of the appointed forum moderators.

--HAN did not become such a large message board with that many registered members because we have asshats for moderators and admins.
How would you know, maybe some pretty talented patrons have left because of unreasonable admins. And do to the policy of stifling critics you'd never know.
I don't know who else has noticed, but I've seen a SERIOUS drop in traffic in the technical forums that I frequent. I kinda attributed it to summer being over, but who knows.
FatBooty, you're still a ****ing prick, the fact that you're affiliated with HAN is a completely seperate issue. .. so do I get warned for that?
Drumsy, "disrespect towards mods" is meaningless, insubordination is more fitting of being penalized.
Whatever guys, this is taking way more energy than I care to sustain.
Ban me, don't ban me, I don't care.
I'll be in the technical forums if anyone needs me. For the time being.

Oh yeah, and upon reflection, when I got warned for posting blah blah, about an admin, blah blah. I WAS in violation of the TOS. So I was wrong. let me say it again. I was wrong.
But I disagree that I shouldn't be able to post the context of why I was warned.
Like I said, this is taking up too much of my energy, and ban or no ban, I'm through with it.
