Default snowboarding advice

im going snowboarding this weekend. its gonna be my second time evaR and i remember the first time i couldnt stand for more than 5 secs :doh:

i hope to stand for 10 secs this time. anybody have some good advice for a noob?

when you want to stop turn your board so the middle is facing downhill and lean back.

Stay on the edges.

seriously the fastest way to fall is to let the board go flat.

Practice on the bunny slope for a little bit making heel side and toe side turns and don't be afraid to turn the board using a combination of body weight and edge useage.

If I lived down there I would go up with you and give you an hour of instruction and you would be up and enjoying it after that. I used to teach for 3 seasons in Montana and only once did I have anyone not get the hang of it after one lesson.

something i liked to do when I first started was do down with my board horizontal and go with my back edge going slow and just go right left, back and forth. But your legs kill you. Try to get a small board. Bigger boards are harder to manuver on.

K2 El Dorado 169 with well over 1500 days or more on it and still running strong.

i got a red Jolt 149 h: it was for when i was learning.. only used it like 5-10 times on the bunny hill..

anyone wanna buy it? got nice ass sims bindings

Tiny board like that is only good for the east coast ice slopes.
