225 might be a bit wide for 7" rims but it might fit.
my stock fronts are 225/45/17 on 7.5" wide wheels.

The problem with going with 225 is that they don't make anything smaller in terms of sidewall ratio. I don't think that there is such a thing as a 225/40 or even a 225/35 tire. Not in 17's anyways...

true...but i want something that will be good as daily driven and handle well too, not that my 17's dont but they are just too heavy...and changing them sucks, i wish i would have wnet 16's now...wiht maybe like 16x7 is that the widest tehy make em? that woudl be sweet cause i can auto cross good in that and also not to big for the track.

I'd be worried about tramlining under braking with 225s on your car.
I can sense it a bit in my teg, and I run 205/45 R16s. 225 width adds another 20mm (?) to that?!?

On second thought, the offset would be all screwed up....I doubt it would fit at all..?

Plus that's a shiet load of rolling resistance...

What model tire are you running on the street now?
