I was on Rt 40 the speed limit is 45mph going though Edgewood
and I was going 45mph. The cop past me, looked at me, slowed down, got in back of me and stopped me. He asked me, do you know why I pulled you over? I said no do you? He said mmmmm and used the flash light he had in his hand to look at my car to find some thing wrong and said my turn signals was blue. ( they are Hyper white) He asked me for my info went back to his car and called another cop to come. I was asked to get out of my car then they patted me down. Then they checked the inside of my car then checked the trunk could't see anything so he tried to lift my custom box but it was too big. Tried to open my carbon fiber hood for 3 mins but I have hood pins so he called me over to open it. Told me I have a nice car I was thinking ( you jealous a$$ mofo just because you see a young black man with a nicer car then you you have to hate on me). He told me I can get back in to my car and said since I have never done anything wrong before he will give me a warning but told me if he sees me again with the blue lights he will fine me. I told my mom and she will call her lawyer. Tomorrow after church I will ask my pastor what he thinks. I can understand pulling me over and just giving me a fixit ticket but do you guys think it was overkill to check me and my car. I feel embarrassed and uneasy about the hole thing. Please let me know what you guys think.

i think patting you down and checking your car was overkill. . i just got rid the hyperwhites in my corners abd replaced em with ambers and i feel more comfy driving around now :exnbp:

 

had that happen to me but the two cops on me were like 100x worse to me. said i was trying to impersonate a cop...IN A BRIGHT RED CIVIC! it was complete bull$hit. patted me down, searched my entire car, had a cop dog go through my car, then when they couldn't figure out how to take out the turnsignals they threatened to smash in my headlights to get them out, then tow the car, then watch me walk home. if i wasn't young and stupid i woulda had a lawsuit. talk about abusing their power

doesn't sound like he was being mean to you or anything...I don't see what the big deal is. :dunno: Just put in some yellow bulb for your turn signals (just 'cause white turn signals are annoying), and they'll have no reason to bother you again. He probably just wanted to check out your car. :chuckles:

 

He could have had a slow night too.... needed to do something to break up the slowness and show he did something.

I don't see how it could be racial profiling just because he pulled somebody over who happened to be black. If that's true, what is he supposed to do...stop pulling over all black people? If all he pulled over were black people, then it definitely might be a problem.

 

Dude, I think you got pulled over for DWB. Yup, it's a pretty serious offense. They'll pull you over if your car is too nice, if your car is an old POS, they'll pull you over for driving in a predominantly white neighborhood, or just about anything else you can imagine. Driving While Black...man, best thing to do is just stay off the roads.
