No joke, that thing sat 7 and carried a dozen boards and all gear for 3 years on trips all across the NW, never broke down and never lost traction even in the shittiest conditions.

*edit* And I paid $400 for it back in 94
I had a '77 Oldsmobile 98 Regency with a 403ci "small" block. It got 15mpg which I thought was bad at the time, but having owned a land cruiser, I now think differently. h: It was my first car and I bought it for $800. Fit 11 people if you really had to cram in there. The front and back seat were basically couches. I could lay flat in the trunk (nice feature if you accidentally kill a hooker). I got into an accident where I basically reversed into a toyota truck at 15-20mph (don't ask), and it barely had a scratch. The toyota was demolished. 8-track that plays both sides of the tape at once was also kind of a cool feature h: Burn outs on command. Man, I still have dreams about that car.

I loved my integra, s2000, and wrx.

Teg - fun to drive in college, mugens & volks, nitrous o:, had decent getup for what it was, hatchback for moving was awesome

S2K - handled incredibly, unmatched gearbox, 9k redline was fun

WRX - most practical of all in terms of seating and storage with the hatch, the fastest by far, tons of torque, love the awd

Loved the 2007 Mitsubishi evolution, had it tuned perfectly and I can still remember the sound when I changed gears.

You'd think I would have thought of the answer to this question given the 7 cars i've owned, but to be honest each one of them had their faults. something always making them loom in the shadow of higher model/trim (aka non-vtec to vtec), so in that regard i guess the G35 is my favorite/best i've owned. its a fully optioned out car and introduced me to a more mature type of car that previous cars didnt have. the subaru i enjoy but its so old and needs so much attention that i drive it merely to maintain the mystique of owning a highly sought after car. it also lives in the shadow of the STi motor/trans/brakes. the 330i introduced me to german awesomeness, but at 235k miles...well, its old.

darn those shadows!

My lexus is300. Built it from Scratch. Sold it because I had a kid and needed the money. Had a few cars since then and just recently bought a is250. It's really slow and the aftermarket parts are very limited.. Is300>IS250

I think my favorite car was by far my M3.
I haven't had a "greatly reliable" car at any point in my life....yet. lol

I have only owned two cars. My 1997 Accord was reliable and well built.

I'm really happy with my 2012 Focus, though. Very quiet, is fun to drive, and very comfortable. I'm also way happier with a hatch versus a sedan. I've managed as high as 39 MPG.

I hope it's reliable. I only have 9500 miles on it, but only had one warranty repair (bad front strut) which the dealer gave me a loaner for. It does seem Ford has a renewed commitment to owner satisfaction.
