Don't underestimate the EL-S, either. Great sound. A less talked about advantage of Tech Pkg.

2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X - 6speed - 64k miles

Average about 17.5mpg

I like the Jeep, but it's not suiting my need anymore. So I'm in the process of trying to sell it so I can get a truck, which would be better suited for my needs these days.

2005 TL

The six speed is nice. It's got all the gadgets (navigation, blue tooth, ect) straight from the factory, which is good so I don't have to plug stuff in and run wires around for everything. It even came pre-wired for my fuzz buster. Looks pretty classy - definitely the most upscale car I have owned.

Cons: not real exciting to drive, but I guess it's not supposed to be. I F'ing HATE acura doors of this vintage. It will open to one of two positions. If you want to open the door somewhere other than one of these two positions it will either slam itself shut (with your leg still in the open door) or swing itself open into the car parked next to you. I know it seems like a piddly little thing, but it really gets on my nerves. Who the fuck designed this crap?

Been mixing up tanks of 93 at the station across from my work for the last 2 tanks. Mixing 98 or 100 oct with 91 to get it just above 93. Running a higher timing tune as well....feels good man.

So I take it you're ditching the plans for E85...

Made my own manifold, exhaust, etc. drove it 40 miles and after diag found my oil feed line had collapsed and toasted my turbo. So now it has been sitting since january. I am going to get back at it in the next few weeks and part ways with her. Great car, but time to go. Thinking about getting into an S2K for a toy car.

It would cost me almost 2k to do it....and it would only make me want to keep pushing the power level up. I don't need to be blowing motor/clutch/tranny.

You lost me...do they not sell 93 octane at the pump in Cali so you have to mix with something else to get to/above 93? :dunno:

7.3 is a dinosaur. A properly maintained 6.0 runs circles around it in both power and mileage. Plus I have a trans that won't take a shit every 80k miles

Correct. We have a crappy diluted version of 91 and that's it. Luckily a place across the street from my work sells 94, 96, 98, 100.
