I've already noticed the torque steer, but I've been driving it pretty gently most of the time, so I don't think it will be too big of an issue. And sometimes a bit of torque steer is kinda fun I don't think it's an S, just a TL with stick shift and type-S wheels. At least as far as I can tell be the owner's manual Mechanically it seems to be very well taken care of. Aesthetically not so much, but you can't tell until you get up close h:

well, as a plus, all manual transmission TL's got the 4 pot front brakes. Which by the way will be changed way more often than you think they should be. Also you have to do pads and rotors every time. I was never able to get a single turn out of them, the 4 pots just eat them up.

Yeah, the brakes are pretty good. The previous owner recently replaced the fronts (pads and rotors) but bought a 4-wheel package, so I have spare rotors and pads for the rears when they wear out. They're slotted.

Speaking of rice, he also replaced the stock mufflers with magnaflows. They honestly sound pretty cool, but a little too noticeable for a realtormobile. I'll probably try to swap someone with stock exhaust. It also has a short-throw shifter which is the bee's knees. It also came with a weighted shift knob, which I took off.

I also got a spare set of wheels with winter tires. Summer tires are BFG KD's Not sure if I'll sell them and get a set of all-season continentals or the like, or if I'll rock summer/winter mode. It's hard to justify when you've got a 4runner just sitting around.

Three of the five MT6 transmissions I ever had to rebuild had short shifters. shredded the synchros. coincidence, maybe...but doubtful. The two that were stock throw, I will put on driver error as the trans and clutch were smoked in 15,000 miles....warranty...denied h:

No, the transmission feels perfect and the PO ran GM synchromesh, which as I gather was a good move on his part.
