Default High Density RAM

how do you run it? i installed 2 512mb chips but my PC wouldnt even boot. is there a trick to it or do high density ones just suck or something?

some memory have to be installed in pairs.

tell us the model make of your motherboard and we can go from there

are they running the same voltage? 100, 133? if they are different you have to get the same. talkin about DDr ram?

its sdram. my pc is clocked at 133 its a biostar motherboard with an AMD XP1900 processor equivelent to a 1.9ghz p4. and i did order 2 of the 512mb sticks.

you sure your motherboard supports that much memory?
Did you try one stick at a time?

ya cause when i bought it they said its upgradable to 1024mb of ram. cause it only has 2 slots also. but they did tell me that but from what im hearing its the HD ram thats the problem.

ya at the beginning it spins like normal but nothing comes on the screen and then stop reading the HD, shit i began to panic cause i thought i fried my MB or something and then i put my old ones back in and it booted.

ya it makes the regular beeps and stuff but no boot screen or anything.
