I suggest the e30 318is. It comes with a M tuned suspension that handles pretty well, it also sits a little lower than the non sport models. The e30 318is also has a similar engine to the e36 318i but the e30 318 is lighter. Also you can make the m42b18 in the e30 318i faster than a e30 325i with the m20b25. I believe the m42b18 has an adjustable cam that you can tune and also you can swap out the flywheel which is a heavy dual mass flywheel for the lighter flywheel in the 325i. I think the weight saving is like 7 lbs. There's tons more things you can do to it to make it pretty fast. I often refer the m42b18 engine to a b18b engine since they make relatively the same power.

you could get a slightly older 325i for about the same price. that's what i would go for.

I agree. E30 owns all other BMWs. especially when there is a Turbo 4g63 in it. :naughty:

I have one thing to say, DASC. Get one. I've driven a streetable racecar with a DASC and it could easily keep up with an E36 M3.
