:werd: Indeed! I certainly appreciated being able to work full-time between AAC and COM, to recover from earlier expenses, be fiscally sound (more or less), and above all- get rid of my POS Swift GTi for a much more refined, sophisticated machine.

And IMO, car payments are teh suckerage. Buy outright, I say and do.

 

I definitely feel your pain. I've decided to not do any serious modification to my car, but rather focus on paying off all debts (including the car).

 

Well, in my case, since I was fortunate to find a good deal (private-party sale) and bought this car outright, I set myself a spending cap of $5K in mods. Two of the three areas of improvement are finished.. audio and susp/chassis. The last is motor.

Now it's a matter of saving for motor work, and getting my shiet in order for teh move to Diego... The principle being that I don't put money into the car that doesn't pay returns in terms of durability or performance.

In your case, however, you've got the performance edge already (certainly in the accelerative arts h: ). So I think highly of your plan to leave well enough alone, at least for the time being.
