Default ripped off on e-Bay, Err!

yeah so I bought something off ebay for $335. It was a great deal seeing as it normaly coast around $500. well any was I paid the guy back in early september. here it is late oct. and I still haven't got my package. the guy told me he sent it a week after I paid. he sent it from ohio to florida through USPS. he charged me $30 for shipping and he ended up sending it low class by the post office. I have talked to my mailman many times, he told me that it should of been here weeks ago. I asked the guy about it and he gave me this lame story on how it normally take awhile and he has used USPS before with no problems. SO he didn't pay for a tracking number. since it has been so long I asked him strait up, but nicely, for him to return my money. ever since he will not return my e-mails. If anyone can get ahold of him and find out the true story of my package that would kick @$$. or if you live in the Ohio area. his e-mail is blackmagic02744@yahoo.com

clift notes: BEWARE, don't get ripped off on e-bay.

u should have purchased paypal insurance.

a confirmation/tracking number is essential so he's basically lying b/c no one can prove if he sent it or not.

paypal only re-emburses up to 180 on a 200 auction max. so you will only get 180 back.

and i dont even know if you won the auction since you didn't meet the reserve.

an finally....never purchase from someone with less than 95% positive feedback and also no less than 25 feedbacks.

Less then 95% make sure you research why the feedback % is that low. Alot of negatives are left by deadbeat bidders also who get pissed when they get one in return.
