No offense, but surely you cannot possibly conclude that one major chain of gas in America is different, better or produces a noticable difference in either performance or mechanical longevity within an engine. 87 is 87 is 87...regardless of the "benifical addatives" certain gasoline retailors claim to use.

I just heard ppl raving about techron and chevron, but I always thought as long as its a reputable chain than its good gas. I guess my thoughts were on the right track.

Oh and by the way does europe have higher octane? When I was in poland I believe the regular gas was 95 and the premium was in the 98 range. I would think that octane is octane but who knows maybe there is a different scale in europe or they just run around on race gas LOL

u are very right, if anyone has seen that special that aired i think on discovery channel. All gas chains get their gas from the SAME pipeline and then just add their "additives". So essentially its all the same in a sense, some with BS like chevron's techron, etc.

I choose QT(QuickTrip, here in the south east, not sure if its anywhere else in the USA)because it has big parking lots, always open, always busy, and a good selection of product in the store. So its not the gas really, its the covienence of whats "there" when i get the gas.

but the additives can make a difference. my friend used to have 99 Z28 camaro which he put a chip in. after that he had to run mobil 93 or sunoco 94, cause it pinged on everything else. also i used generic 93 one time and got check engine light after a few miles. i stick with name brand name gas for premium fuel, but for a car that uses 87 you are fine with almost any brand.
