^^ Indeed. You'll def be seeing those last just like Civics do even with all that hp/tq it puts down. 243hp/270tq to the wheels in a Quaife driven car is sick. And I get to keep my interior TOO!! WOOWOO! No more of this I gotta rip out my backseat to make it 3lbs lighter cuz that'll save me weight and make me go faster...**whatajoke**You'll need to invest some good dollars in a swap, building it, and turboing it to make those numbers. My friend put down a little higher hp/tq than that with a semi built h22 turbo...but he invested close to $10k on the engine/tranny/ecu/turbo alone. Add another 3k for the car and whatever else...easily come close to $16k after adding all the extras...place another 4k and you'll have a brand new, non clone Honda that we see everywhere WITH warranty WITH it being overbuilt WITH unique styling and WITH the balls to hang with the big boys. This is one area that Honda will probably not go into...a sport compact sedan or coupe with BALLS. With some authority to hang with the V8s, with some styling to change the look of the Civic, to have more than 200hp for godsakes coming out of a 4 banger for less than $30k. The only one making 200hp is the RSX-S but that one is pricey and way more $$ than the SRT4 and the SRT4 will romp on it like it was standing still. This car will probably even beat the S2000 in stock trim for both cars EASILY. Well, IMO...

That said....LSD, 240hp 270ft for 21k is a godamn deal and a half. I don't like the way miatas look, but they are fast too so who cares.
NO Civic, Accord, Integra, etc...look mean. FOR NOTHING. Without body kits of some sort or spoilers and all the mumbo jumbo the SRT4 will look WAYYYY meaner than ANY stock Civic?Accord/Teg. You know why? Cars that have good power and can hang on the street usually look meaner with factory hoodscopps, spoilers, kits, etc...in stock form Civics/Teg/Accord don't make good power so why make them look mean? It's like body kits and spoliers and hoodscoops on a stock Civic...DOESN'T NEED TO BE THERE. Look at mean looking cars, NSX, WRX, WRX STi, Evolution, etc...just to name a few. Scoops, wings, suspension, gauges, etc...cuz they need them making 227hp at the least from those 4 cars I've mentioned to 300+hp stock. 102hp is not power. It's point A to point B access.

but seriously...is speed the only thing to look at when getting a car? For me to consider that as a purchase, it would have to not look or drive like a Neon.

There is more to driving a car than the pure numbers and the S2000 is not a car that one buys to get the numbers. It is for the thrill of revving the shit out of the motor and tossing it through a curvy road. Not for stupid macho ball-grabbing "oh look I'm faster than this guy" bullshit.
I like the SRT-4 and think it's a cool car. If you do too that's great. But don't be a stunna.

My whole point is that there's no reason to compare the straight line performance of the SRT-4 to the S2000 because the SRT-4 is obviously quicker.
Hell the only time you make an objective comparison to another car is when you race it in some fashion be that down a drag strip, abandoned highway, autocross course in a parking lot, superspeedway or what have you.
How do I say this in the simplest terms possible without making a comparison? Basically the S2000 is a car you have to actually have driven to understand. And if you worry about things like how fast it's going to be in comparison to an SRT-4 then you wouldn't buy it.
I love the SRT-4. I love the S2000. But they are two completely different cars in almost every aspect so it's really not worth the ependiture of mental energy to place them in opposition.
