this is what i truly think ... the Cubs are blowing the games on purpose to gain more revenues. they are THE hottest ticket in town, you can't find a single piece of Cubs gear (shirts, hats, jackets), they are by far the highest rated show on TV, and no game 7, means no game 7 ticket sales (bleacher seats were going at $60!)

i can see your reasoning but if they blow game 7, think of all the revenue the will lose out on not being in the World Series

i dunno ... last night's game really got me thinking. the cubs won 3 in a row against the fish ... and 2 of them were complete blowouts. then they lose 2 in a row ... now we're at game 7.

if my conspiracy theory is true ... MLB will not let the Cubs lose. the image of fans piled onto waveland ave., fans packing into every game (not just the playoffs, but every game), fans never giving up hope is good for baseball's image.

look at the fish ... they sold an average of 5000 tickets per game over the season. they're in the playoff's ... now they sell out the house. the fans aren't true ... they're just there because the Marlins are hot. if the marlins lose game 7, they will go back to 5000 tickets sold per game next season.

for a team that won the world series 6 years ago ... their fans gave up and the marlins almost had to close. the cubs won 95 years ago, and fans still never gave up.

cliff notes ... conspiracy theory holding true ... Cubs win because they're good for baseball. conspiracy theroy being a bunch of crap ... Cubs win anyways

As for the Marlins fans giving up, I think its is because the owner of the Marlins gave up on them. All the players that were bought to win a championship were released afterwards since he reached his goal of getting a Championship. He gave up on the team, so of course most of the fans gave up on them. How can you stay loyal to a team that gives up like that.

truely hope that this is not a conspiracy for the Cubs to win. If so I will lose all faith in baseball. Yeah it is not a perfect sport but if the MLB is in on this so called conspiracy that is just wrong. they might as well turn MLB into the next WWE
