My phone bill this month is over $600.
On my last phone bill it showed that I had 444 rollover minutes on one page, and 15 rollover minutes on the other page. I called customer service and when they checked, they said I have 15 minutes to rollover, then she double-checked and said I actually have 444 and that the 15 was not the correct number.
So knowing that I had an extra 444 minutes to rollover on top of my 1000 anytime minutes, I didn't worry about my minutes too much.
Now this bill comes saying I used 1900+ anytime minutes. Fine, so I expected that I went over by about $200. WRONG. They said I actually only had 15 rollover minutes to use, shooting my bill sky high. I talked to customer service again and even the manager - both of them kept stressing that it *did* say 15 minutes left on my old bill. I told them that there were two figures and when I called customer service, they confirmed the higher number. The manager said there was no record of me calling customer service and basically called me a liar. They told me that there is nothing that they would do and basically I'm screwed.
I also noted how many dropped calls I got and how staticy my service was. They said that "in their records" there was no history of dropped calls and the staticy service was because of my phone (which is only a couple months old).
Basic summary: Cingular has shitty serivce, tons of dropped calls, horrible customer service, screwed me over $600, and the CS manager called me a liar.
I urge anybody who is thinking of signing up for Cingular to look into other providers.
Edit: I'm seriously considering to stop selling Rota wheels. After all the expenses of the business (like my phone bill and gas), I've been losing money these past couple months and I can't afford to keep it up. I don't even know how I'm going to pay for this phone bill yet

Go to the store argue w/ the manager and spit in his face. that's what my friend did...well after the guy mad his mom cry...then the manager gave them a full credit and they cancelled their service w/ no fee's
That's retarded. Especially when they always say that the phone call may be recorded and all that bull.
I need to do the same. I gotta wait next year though...

Cingular used to be Cellular One and they were ripoff artists back in the day too.
Usually the other companies will give you the benefit of the doubt the first time around if you have a whopper of a bill.
I would keep calling and try to get it sorted out. The best way to get them to help you out is to be cool headed, logical, and persistent. They're trained to not hook you up but if you keep the operator on the phone long enough or ask to talk to a supervisor then you increase your chances of getting helped.
