Seems like Samsung has the market cornered for large screen LED's, but I've always been a fan of Sony. Their higher end models are pretty good and comparable to the high end Samsungs.

I got the 3D because it's included in most models anyway. I used it once and it was making my eyes tired halfway through the movie.

So looks like I am going 70", maybe 80" if the room can handle it. Thinking Samsung or Sharp Aquos. Thoughts?

only tv i buy is samsung. haven't really ever owned anything else, so i have no real input.

If you are going 80" that is why I feel 4k came around, so you are going to want to step up to 4K instead of 1080p.

The top brands are Samsung, Sony, LG and Sharp. I love my XBR.
