I can name so many better 4s than the Kseries(its still a good motor, no doubt)
people who say an SRT-4 is just a Neon are just embaressed it can walk all over it.
Hp is hp in the end, and when youre getting spanked, youre not gonna be happy.
I also hate Chrysler, but I respect the SRT4. It was developed by a guy with a Turbo Accord DX.

From Honda? No, definitely not as good? That stupid KA 2.4 from Nissan? Yeah, much better. It's not the smoothest engine, and most Honda owners wouldn't like the 2.4 Chrysler because it isn't too fast to rev nor is it very peaky. A lot of torque for a 4 cylinder (N/A).
I agree with what dar FatBooty said, and more so--Chrysler has had a version of the 2.4 DOHC turbocharged in the Stratus R/T in Mexico for some time (Possibly '97 the Mexican Stratus R/Ts first gen came out, not sure). The engine has been modified for use in the SRT-4 (In the Stratus R/T it made 180hp I believe), but my point is: Chrysler isn't new to using turbos. I can imagine it is going to be pretty reliable.

haha my friend invited me to a srt 4 meet today. there was about 7-8 of them there plus a wrx and a evo 8. nice guys. they are quick but i have issues with some of the interior trim & materials and such. they basically said that they understood that and that wasn't what they were looking for in a car. they wanted a fun fast car and it seems like they are all happy with what they got. and i was happy with the free food :yumyum: and drinks that i got :beer: :naughty:. i believe the girl you are talking about with the srt 4 is on srtforums as srt4gurl or something like that. she has just about the fastest non-sponsered car on the board. one of the guys that came to this meet has the second fastest one on the board. he is running mid to high twelves i believe.
