Yeah I got the full camping setup.. bags, 10 person tent, propane grill/stoves/lanterns, etc. But unless my house was inhabitable, I wouldn't need to use it. If forced to leave due to structural damage, I would send mar and family to the hotel and I'd guard the house and set up camp.
That's about the same game plan i have.
I have my shot gun,my .357 and about 50 rounds for each.
Great for small crowds of people but for large crowds?
The best you can hope for is to take a few people with you!
When i lived in new york i watched a guy with an uzi get bum rushed and beat to death.
I have stripped my kit down over the years and basically what I need is my bacpack with 3changes of clothes, my boots, knife, some line and a couple fish hooks and a couple books of matches to survive comfortably for quite a while.
The less I have, the more mobile and concealable I am and if it comes down to an SHTF situation that is what I want.

I have been working on getting my stuff together.. the general plan is to have a couple bags that are sort dual purpose. Medical bag that I use for off duty responses, range bag can hold ammunition and other supplies/GSW kit, 2 bug out bags (1 for each of us) with general supplies that aren't in another bag, and I want to put together 2 bug in bags (1 for each vehicle) that will have general emergency breakdown supplies (flares, prepaid cell phone, cash).
I started listing stuff out to help organize. Maybe I will post that later once I get a chance to finalize it for some input.
Other than that, I also need to stock up on supplies at home, get into canning and reloading, water storage, extra fuel, etc. I rent an apartment right now so I am limited in what I can do.
