so what do you tell the cop when he gets there and asks you "why did you slam on ur breaks?"...i would think to say that there was something running across the road and you didn't want to hit it...or is there something else to tell them. i could j/ see myself doing that and end up getting sited for it or something (even though the driver behind is always at fault)

i do that, but i tap the brakes and see them slam theirs on and then i just laugh and carry on smartly.
