In order to get onto a plane you must go through security check point. Or you dont fly. That I understand. In order for me to get from point A to point B in my car shouldnt require being randomly stopped and start phishing.

my point is that shit happens - you lucked out with the cop wasting 10 min of your time. i am sure if he wanted to he could have given you tickets for whatever reason then your time would look like this:
1 - sit there till he is done
2 - call your family to help clear them up
3 - if family cant help, get lawyers to fight your case
4 - if lawyer cant fight with out you being there you would have to go to court (ie more wasted time)

You stated you didnt know why you were pulled over especially when you have family members on the force indicating you should get preferential treatment.
I'm sure he had PC to pull you over or else he could get into major trouble. Truth is you drive a bright yellow car and get pulled over every other week. I think its time to stop blaming the police and maybe look at yourself as to why you keep getting stopped
