yep. it was a $12,000 sign on bonus when i went in. and up to a $60,000 re-enlistment bonus. probably more by now.

I took $8,000 bonus + $9,000 loan re-pay & G.I. bill... for some crazy reason the last week of January they let people in w/o G.E.D. or diploma as AF's and AM's & were offering repay & bonuses w/o opting out of the G.I. bill... I don't understand it, but I took $8,000 instead of $15,000 they offered b/c I'll be 100% debt free fairly soon... and my first 2 years pay is buying me a house at my first duty station...

I hope I make it... I need all the luck everyone is wishing on me!

 

eh, boot camp is easy. a school is easy too. c school isn't too bad. it's the school after that that sucked for me.

and beware, they tell you you'll get your money after a school, but you won't. you don't get it until after nptu (whatever school they called it ... the third school). i can tell you all about what to expect sometime if you want.

 

When I painted my wipers, I didn't even bother to take them off my car. Just newspaper under, and sprayed away

i took time on my wipers too, came out tons better... on the emblem, i did the opposite, i removed just the Civic and left the EX... :thumbup: on cleaning 'er up

 

Thanks... but I forgot to buy clearcoat so I don't know how long it will last... ... if it gets scratched up though, it has a half-dozen or so coats of black on it so it'll be good... I was too stupid to figure out how to put the blades back on the arms so I scratched the paint down to primer where the arm goes through the bracket, but it's on the underside anyway... I guess I should listen when it says it is able to be handled after 45 minutes to an hour... not 25 minutes...


At any rate, I got it done at the perfect time b/c it's pouring down rain today...





In response to the ricer attack recovery, I've got some before & after pics that would make some of you guys shit yourselves at how pathetic this car was when I bought it... but I used all the rice as leverage when I got the car... $2246.83 out the door...

i just shot 2 coats of semi-gloss black on my wipers. theyve been fine for over a year....
