I bringing this back from the dead because I'd like to know the step by step process and what is involved. Rather than starting up a whole new thread, maybe somebody would see this and inform me on what is needed to be done to get eye popping paint.

For once, I didn't know that you were supposed to soak the sandpaper in water first (actually, I'm still not sure about this). So if anyone could enlighten me on how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know what your trying to do to the lip. Is it damaged somehow (paint chip, dent)? It would help if we knew what you were tring to do... Also is it a SS or BC/CC paint on the lip.
