Default LED Underbody kit Project

Hi guys,
Was just wondering if LED Underbody kit is doable by individual? I thought of doing it as a project

Anyone can show me in the right direction, his/her help will be much appreciated.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, here are some photos I got from other forums:

If you have a good place to hide the bulbs so they're not visible...and you know how to wire electrical stuff then you should be good to go

Any idea how to do the fade-in and fade out?

I have the rough idea of just hooking this light kit straight to dome light, so whenever the door is unlocked, it will turn on, and shuts off when the door is locked.

what kind of car do you have? i know on my 98 accord there's a fuse box on the right side panel.....theres a few wire connectors and on one of them control the auto dimming/ on feature of the lights on the car....wire it to those and it should dim off when doors are closed as well

It's 2003 Accord LX 4 door.

Isn't it easier to hook it up straight to the dome light?

doing it to the dome light will probally be good so you can shut it off when you see a cop.

he just wants it to where it comes on with the doors being open, and shuts off when their closed.

maybe you can tap into a door sensor in the door jam

Does anyone have a rough idea how tough this project would be?

What kind of materials should I purchase besides the LED of course....?

buying a full kit just seems easier to me. at the shop i used to work at we sold auto glow undercar led kits and they were easy to install and had a nice control box. never had a customer come back with a messed up light and even if they had, i believe they came with a warranty. if i remember correctly the whole kit ran like 175 or so. i would advise against it tho....not just because in my opinion its ricey, but also because of road conditions. had many many many people come back with busted lights, just seemed like a waste of time/money.
