never a $2000 paint job? HAHAHA. the blue i used on my sol was $1000. the white and pearl coat are twice that. my paint job would have been nearly $10,000 after body work (minimal), had i gone to a shop instead of doing it myself.

also, 3 months? i would avoid that. that's hardly enough time to know whether it will hold up or not. pay a lil more... because with automotive body/paint... u get what u pay for

So estimating at least 2k for paint.
But how much do you think for the tiny bits of rust work?
I also need to replace the front bumper and I was going to check the dealership for some OEM parts, but does anyone know a website that I might be able to snag a better deal at?

Thanks for the input.

Rust is going to be heavy on labor :hs: It varies really on how much... what you see with rust is usually multiplied since it's a lot bigger than it really is showing...

So are you saying it would be a better idea to handle this sooner than later? Because I don't want to get my car sanded on, rust removed, the have this big at silver spot on my car for a couple of months that will end up rusting bigger than the previous stuff.

well i've said this before... but i paid 600.00 for my paint job.. i got the inside of my door's done. they fixed my conversion.. they fixed a dent i had on the top of my car from the hood hitting it on the freeway. then there was a hump from some bad bodywork on the side too..

this is a place to take a look at the paint job, but you cant notice that the paint has hella sparkles in it...

i work @ a body shop... and i've personally redone 4 or 5 maaco paintjobs. avoid cheap jobs unless u know it's by a respectable and skilled painter. deals do exist... juss watch ur ass.

rust? whats rust? :rick:

$400-$500 paint jobs don't include the door jams/under the hood/etc. $2000+ paint jobs actually paint all the metal.

hmm if im not mistaken.. that piece by the tail light can be replaced right??? and i dont think its more then 80 bux for the whole piece... dont have them just fiberglass that spot where the rust is at cuz it'll come right back out and be even worse... to repair it, you'd have to get that piece cut and they have to do some weld work.. and about the rusty bolts that are on your hatch/windshield.. just get some fine sand paper and sand off the rust and spray some primer on it.. they sell diff colors.. u can either color match your car or just do it black.. but make sure you cover it all so the rust wont come back hope that helps
