not that im encouraging you to paint your dash but i think adhesion promoter would work its a clear primer and allows paint to stick without chipping

My Inegra isnt my project car at the moment. Im doing a complete redo on a 85 camaro. most people think about painting the interior but yes it will chip on soft plastics. hard plastics hold up alot better. but heres what im gunna be doing to all of the panels. buy a good few yards of vinyl fabric sum good adhesive and completely recover all the panels. to wrap plastic panels, start at one end spraying the adhesive to direction. and smoothing out the vinyl on the plastic. on curves and such use a low heat air gun to warm the vinyl and stretch over. on holes for speakers conponents and such cut close to edge heat and stretch around. do all the panels reinstall and be happy. for info on automotive grade vinyl check out this website. oh they even have carbon fiber pattern in many colors. the website is www.glfi.com
