Hey how's it going. I've been checking this tight pictures of rydes with the flip trunk mod. So i'd like to do it. Don't feel like paying 20 something bux for a stupid kit on ebay when all i need are a couple of hinges from Home Depot. All i kno is that i need 2 hinges, 2 latches and a couple of screws. Then I'm suppose to bend the hinges to like 90 degrees. Well i'm not too sure how to hook it on. Can something post up with or link it to me step by step so i don't screw it up. haha TIA!

Ok i read this from other peeps who've tried the flip trunk and most of them all ran into a prob with the trunk release hitting the bottom of the window when the trunk is open and also when the trunk's close, the back of it isn't shut all the way.

Anybody try the flip trunk and everything came out perfectly?

 

i did it on my car. i bought my entire kit at home depot all i needed was 2 3 inch hinges. thats it. I would recommend getting a strong drill bit though. I went thru like 4 bits cause they kept snapping off.




I had a problem when i went to shut my trunk. It wouldnt line up smoothly so i have to replace the lower bolts everytime when i shut my trunk.
