Hi. I installed an sri intake for my friend's 98 lude today. When I was putting in the battery I accidentally ripped one of the wire with the weight of the battery. I'm not sure what this wire does or if it is related to his trunk indicator light on his dash staying on.
Can someone tell me what the wire is? The wire was connected to the bottom of the thing next to the red arrow...

You have a trunk indicator light? What year is your lude? Mine is a 5th gen (98), and I have no trunk indicator light.

 

Yea my friend's 98 lude has a trunk indicator light. Open your trunk and look at your dash. A red light on the left of the gauges should light up. It's a pic of a little car with the trunk open.
Also I found my answer to my question so thanks anyways. The wire definitely has to have something do with the alarm.

Now tell me more about this alarm, I've never looked into that on preludes, and I should probably figure that out...
