Default Hand Car Wash question

Im just wondering, is it worth it taking my car to the hand car wash places. I ask because my car has swirl marks already on it. In the spring and summer I usually do it at home, but in the winter its to friggin cold so I take it to the car wash.
Should I just take it to a machine car wash or hand car wash.

always stick to hand washing even you have it done by someone else. the problem with car washes is that they brush things like small rocks and crap off other cars and when you go for that car wash at the gas station the same rocks and dirt end up scraping and scratching your paint. its all really up to you though what ever you feel like doing. its your car.

depends on what you mean by "hand car wash". Some of these places constantly use the same rags over and over, which contain dirt, which might do you more harm.

Also, some "hand car wash" places use high pressure hoses to wash the car. That's not a good idea either only because dirt + high pressure = sanding effect over time.

Thanks for the input. Guess I will stick to the hand car wash. One reason I asked because the hand car wash place is kinda far rather than the machine wash place which is a few blocks away.

I work at a carwash and i have to say that the swirl marks are from the cheap car washes with the non-cloth brushes, the wash that i work at has all cloth brushes and my black 00 Si has had no problems with swirl marks at all, also, we only use the high-pressure hoses to remove mud from the wheel wells and to remove the whell cleaner and brake dust from alloy wheels.
