Default Thinking about changing color of my Civic.

Hey,

I've been thinkin about changing the color of my civic for quite some time now. its currently FBP... i really like the gunmetal/dark gray look. does anyone know any paints codes? also, anyone have any idea of what price im looking at? can i do the sanding/primer myself to make it cheaper?

everyone and there grandma has a gunmetal car. sanding and priming is no big deal. u might as well do it all your self if u go that far. im looking at about100-150 for a gallon of the black paint i want and about 100 for clear

If you want tips on sanding/primering a car, PM me...I've worked at a body shop for 2+ years now...I'll tell you everything you need to know. But I'll tell you right now, most body shops don't like it when people do that themselves b/c they don't know how well you prepped it, what kind/grade of materials you used. So therefore, they can't really gaurantee the paint job for as long as if they did all of the work. Also, the only time you need to primer a car is if you've done body work on it. You don't have to primer a car just because you're going to be painting it. So, don't think that you have to just because it's going to get a paint job.
