But I'll tell you right now, most body shops don't like it when people do that themselves b/c they don't know how well you prepped it, what kind/grade of materials you used. So therefore, they can't really gaurantee the paint job for as long as if they did all of the work. Also, the only time you need to primer a car is if you've done body work on it. You don't have to primer a car just because you're going to be painting it. So, don't think that you have to just because it's going to get a paint job.
