Default bam's new hatch projecto

Finally got some time to take pics.

Car needs to be clayed BAD, but it looks decent still. Gotta get my interior put back together but I like it a lot so far.

The suspension is just H&R sports so to much body roll still.

My tires are worn as fack, and they are 55 series so they make the car sit a little higher also. Thats why it looks like a truck.

My suspension plans include custom GC's (any suggestions?, I'm thinking 450lb's front 500 rear) with OTS koni sports, some good sway/with high quality reinforcment (comptech combo maybe?)

Wheel suggestions appreciated. I need to buy some light 15x7's for it.

here are the current specs:
93 cx hatch
92 black non airbag dash
8 pt full chromoly cage
jdm headlights
jdm cornerlights
jdm taillights inner and outer
jdm metal sir spoiler
ls meshies (winter wheels)
h&R sports
2.5" mandrel exhaust, with magnaflow resonator and OEM gsr muffler (need to repaint muffler canister black)
Power mirrors from civic SI (want to switch these to some sleeker ones someday, not really important though)
oddessy lightweight tiny battery
oem ex lip
all sound deadening stripped
all rear interior stripped
all dash gutting stripped besides metal dash support and heater core/blower motor
SI gauge cluster with amber bulbs
JDM carpet Yo :chuckles:

thats about it

PS, those are the old plates, since they are now in the trash I figured it was ok not to blur them

See the blue combination switch cover?? help me fix that shit! the door panels are blue too. fucking blue. If you know of any black shit let me know.

can't wait to see it when you get your K24A2 in there.

For light 15x7 wheels you can get Enkei RPF1's. They are 15x7, 41mm offset, and weigh 9 lbs.

well the motor in it before the current one was a 267whp 2.1L gsr NA.

now it has a d16y7 :chuckles:

I'm about half way done collecting my K series parts. I have all the little shit, just need a longblock and K pro.

I've already got an X2M5 trans, which I think will work good with the k24a2 but people tell me first and most of second will be useless.

I don't care about drag so I don't really need first at all, just 3rd and up I'm thinking.

What does the X2M5 trans come from? Are you going to be running ITB's?

x2m5 is 02-04 rsx-s.

people are telling me to use the 5 speed because the sixes have too short of gearing, but I think that it'll be alright. as I move onto the second trans I'll probably get a quaife, as it will definately be needed.

I might throw the tsx 6th in it if it's too short on the freeway for the 2.4

I'm not plannin on ITB's as there is an intake manifold coming out soon that outperforms the TWM and Jenvey off the shelf ITB's, although custom ITB's are the best overall.
Here is a very well known car currently running the new intake manifold (the first one of them built actually)

I'm looking to have a VERY conservative 230-245whp and 190ft/lbs when all said and done

The motor setup will be DTR header, IPS k2 camshafts, 45 degree modified tsx VTC, IPS nprototype intake manifold/75mm TB, the 2.5" mandrel exhaust I already have, and of course Kpro. I might have to switch to 3" exhaust, not sure.

I'm hoping to have OEM type reliability with insane power. The car will be for the new track they are building in utah and some autox and daily driving.

Other than that the stock block should handle everything fine.

Here is utah's new track. Its the largest full professional race course in America now at 4.2miles around the outer ring. The other two sections are around 2 miles each. Should make for some awesome racing.

Its hard to tell in the pic but its got a ton of up and downhill sections which should make it more challenging

If I'm putting all this money in the car I'm definately gonna throw down a couple hundred for a cage mounted video camera. It won't be til next spring/summer, but I'll definately be posting videos
