x2m5 is 02-04 rsx-s.
people are telling me to use the 5 speed because the sixes have too short of gearing, but I think that it'll be alright. as I move onto the second trans I'll probably get a quaife, as it will definately be needed.
I might throw the tsx 6th in it if it's too short on the freeway for the 2.4
I'm not plannin on ITB's as there is an intake manifold coming out soon that outperforms the TWM and Jenvey off the shelf ITB's, although custom ITB's are the best overall.
Here is a very well known car currently running the new intake manifold (the first one of them built actually)
I'm looking to have a VERY conservative 230-245whp and 190ft/lbs when all said and done
The motor setup will be DTR header, IPS k2 camshafts, 45 degree modified tsx VTC, IPS nprototype intake manifold/75mm TB, the 2.5" mandrel exhaust I already have, and of course Kpro. I might have to switch to 3" exhaust, not sure.
I'm hoping to have OEM type reliability with insane power. The car will be for the new track they are building in utah and some autox and daily driving.
Other than that the stock block should handle everything fine.
Here is utah's new track. Its the largest full professional race course in America now at 4.2miles around the outer ring. The other two sections are around 2 miles each. Should make for some awesome racing.
Its hard to tell in the pic but its got a ton of up and downhill sections which should make it more challenging
