one other question though, do i have a cheap hood because of this? i mean i see and hear of ads that say they can stand on their hoods, but then i see that they are only standing on OEM style hoods, ones without vents. I think that is why mine was prone to breakage.
Am i right or do i just have a cheap ass hood that i should park under a tree and let the birds shit all over?

 

the ones with a vent are more prone to breaking just b/c there are moroe ridged parts on it, where as the OEM style is flat, but any CF is breakable, ........soo got a link to those pics :rick:

CF is light as hell, w/ a hig htensil strength... but it is very britle. your hood isn't cheap juss cuz it cracked. it's juss CF

 

okay that makes me feel better, not very safe in an accident but better

 

 

Yeh My hood has a minor crack in it near the latch could be caused by the tight fit on the hinge when shutting sucks too but its CF

 

have you found any way to fix it?
