Help: cleaning tinted windows???
I recently got my windows tinted and there are some water streaks from them putting the shop putting the tint on, I was wondering what do I need to use to clean the windows that wont mess up or sratch the tint? Just soap and water and a soft cloth? What kind of cloth should I use? There is also a little bubble near the back of the passangers side door window, What can I do about taking it away? Should I just not worry about and try to fix it if it gets worse or should I take it back to the shop in a couple of days since there is a lifetime warranty? Let me know what I should do.
You can clean your tinted window with just about anything that doesn't have ammonia in the solution. But if you're really worried about it, they sell window cleaner especially made for tinted windows. As for the bubbles, it shouldn't be there if it was done right. I would take it back to the shop and have them fix it.
There is always water still in-between the windows and the tint. Do not wash it, if the shop didnt tell you all this then i would question there proffesionalism. Do not get a car wash for a week, do not unroll your window also for a week. Do not wash the tint for 30 days, and like roan said, dont use ammonia it eats the film. The water spots will be gone in 45 max depending on the weather. If you wash it, you risk messing up your tint.
