newagain's staff is a bunch of disrespectful half-ass job doing slackers. i went to them trying to inquire about doing my interior way back and they wouldnt' pay me any attention in their shop. if you wanna go get your interior to last about 3 months then i'd recommend them, otherwise make sure u do the thing right.

luckily i found a guy in gaithersburg who was a god among hot-rod enthusiasts. he had people tow their cars hundreds of miles just to go to him and have their interiors done. he still does interior work now but he doesn't do honda stuff anymore. after i got mine done i recommended some people to him and he said they were nothing but a headache.

"man you stupid honda boys grease up your damn doors so bad i can't get vinyl to stick like it should... "

he stopped doing them because it wasn't worth his time or patience to deal with the import crowd. but i could totally understand after seeing some of the prices he charges for working on those cars. if you think interiors should run around $1-2k, guess again. i saw a couple $10k+ jobs and a $5k headliner... immaculate. those hot-rod guys are in a league of their own!

oh yeah, and make sure you wrap the interior. Don't dye it because otherwise you'll regret it. dying (painting) your interior is only good if you plan on never touching a damn thing inside of your car, or exposing it to the sun. It will chip and it will fade. i don't care how many of your friends have done it without a problem, it just does not compare to having stuff wrapped. if my doors have a stain on them i can scrub the poop out of them til they get clean and not worry about whether or not the color is going to rub off.

Cool. So, are you saying to go to "that guy" for the interior? If so, whats his name?

Ok, I can see wrapping the interior parts, but what about the dashboard. A new black one from Honda is $1000. Should I try for a junkyard deal? I plan on silver accents on black.

Thanks.

p.s. I don't grease up my doors (what the hell is that?)

i would say go to him, but i doubt he's available to work on imports anymore. his name is Steve Bell (of Bell's Trim and Design, located in Gaithersburg, MD). The guy is a trip to talk to. Everytime i see him he asks me the same thing "Fucck any radford girls lately?". (funny bcs i went to virginia tech and his dad met his mom at radford). =]

anyways, give him a shot and see what he says. you can even say i referred you. just say Guggan with the black accord sent u (he never saw it silver). Do what i did for the dashboard. Go to a junkyard and pick one up. That way it's already dried out. He had mine done in less than 3 days after i dropped it off... and my shhit looks PERFECT. no complaints at all. problem is you're stuck with 2 dashes after the project

and greasing up the doors means using armor-all etc.
